About Troop 103

Troop 103 was established in 1957. Since signing our first charter, our troop has helped 100 boys achieve their Eagle Scout.

One of our famous troop alumni is Alvin Townley, author of “Legacy of Honor: The Values and Influence of America’s Eagle Scouts”.

Meeting Location

The troop meets at:
Clairmont Hills Baptist Church
1995 Clairmont Road
Decatur, Georgia 30033-3499

Meeting Time: Thursdays 7:30-9:00 p.m.
The Scout Hut is at the back side of the church

 

Monthly Outings

The troop organizes a monthly adventure, generally from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. These outings are usually camping trips with adventures such as backpacking, shooting, spelunking and biking.

 

 

Summer Camp

Every summer, our troop participates in a week-long session at Woodruff Scout Camp near Blairsville, Georgia, or Daniel Boone Scout Camp in Canton, North Carolina.
